Tommy Quinn vs. Konrad Iwanowski for the MTK MW Title

A huge fight for Irish MMA was announced today today. Tommy Quinn (7-4) and Konrad Iwanowski (6-3) will fight for the MTK European Middleweight title on November 17 in Newcastle, England at MTK: The Rising.

The Newcastle-based Quinn made his MTK MMA debut earlier this year with a second round TKO win over well-travelled French veteran Vincent del Guerra (24-20). This win put an end to a bad patch for Quinn following a number of injuries that only saw him compete three times since 2013.

Quinn has been competing professionally since 2008 and holds wins over the likes of Philip Mulpeter, Shaun Lomas and Dan Hope and is a Cage Warriors veteran.

Although he hails from Poland, Konrad Iwanowski has been part of the Irish MMA scene for his entire MMA career and is a member of the SBG Swords and Fantom fight teams in Dublin.

A KSW and Cage Warriors veteran, Iwanowski will be looking to get back in the win column after narrowly losing his last contest by split decision.

Both Quinn and Iwanowski have proved that they always come to fight. This has all the makings of a classic.

Clan Wars 33 gets a new main event

Clan Wars 33 has a new main event. Last night the promotion revealed that an injury had forced the returning Michael Doyle from the card and a new main event will take its place.

That fight will be Ryoshin's Makinde Adeyemi (0-1) vs. IFS fighter Daniel Olenjiczak (2-2-1).

The very well-rounded Olenjiczak has made four appearances under the BAMMA banner and has registered wins over the likes of Steve Owens and Jonathan Reid. A loss in his last fight at Brave in Belfast will make the Polish-born fighter all that more motivated on November 17.

Makinde Adeyemi had a very busy amateur career seemingly travelling everywhere around Ireland and Europe to ply and learn his trade. He made his pro debut in September this year but unfortunately lost via submission early in the first.

Now the powerful youngster will get a chance to register his first win and against a respected pro fighter in Olejniczak.

Clan Wars 33 takes place at the Ulster Hall on November 17. Remaining tickets can be bought here.
